Decoration and partial refurbishment project in Calle Rocafort (Eixample)
For a single digital nomad with a second home in Barcelona
Need
Partial refurbishment and decoration project for a woman who works in Barcelona on a regular basis. Although this is not her usual home, Anna wanted her home in this city to be comfortable and well adapted to her work needs.
Challenge of the project
This included the interior design and refurbishment of one of the bathrooms, changes to the kitchen and some electrical upgrades. In addition, the original heating system was upgraded and a new air conditioning system installed. New parquet flooring has been laid, some kitchen furniture has been replaced, doors and cupboards have been refinished and the walls have been repaired in preparation for painting and decorative wallpaper.
Solution
Highlights of this project include the dressing table and lighting in the bedroom, the use of marble and glossy tiles in the bathroom, the use of the hallway for hidden shoe storage and the result of the kitchen after repairing, painting and changing the handles on the cupboards.
For the decoration, we used furniture and inexpensive elements in light tones, with the presence of wood and blue-green tones with black details to create small contrasts.
Fake white paint, curtains and accessories did the rest.
